Mike Kniec is a Canadian photographer based in Ireland whose street and travel work explores the relationship between people, light and place.

Across Copenhagen, Paris, New York and Kyoto, Mike is drawn to the rhythms of everyday life: a passing figure, an unexpected reflection, the way light reshapes a familiar street.

His photographs bring a personal perspective to each place, finding connections between its architecture and the people moving through it.

Working in colour and black and white, Mike balances architectural structure with movement and chance, finding atmosphere in scenes that might otherwise pass unnoticed. His photography is shared through Flickr, Instagram and the Leica Fotografie International Gallery.

Beyond street and travel photography, he explores Nintendo and retro-gaming culture through Supermiketendo, bringing his interest in photography to a more playful world of objects and nostalgia.
